Every is a daily newsletter publishing long-form essays and analysis from the most interesting thinkers in tech. We publish to an audience of 53,000 founders, operators, investors who look to us for thoughtful, actionable writing that helps them understand business, or themselves in new ways.

Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a part-time managing editor to help us with the editorial operations involved with publishing our newsletter once a day. You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing the editorial calendar
• Tracking posts through the process, from idea to publish
• Keeping on top of writers to make sure deadlines are hit
• Loading finished pieces into the CMS for guest writers
• Spot check pieces before they’re published to make sure headline, subhead, advertising, etc. are all set up properly
• Manage cross-promos with other publications

We have a few regular columnists who publish once a week and mostly don’t need to be managed, so this person would be responsible for the 2-3 posts we publish per week that are written by less frequent guest contributors.

It will start part time, but could grow into full-time over time. Depending on skillset and desire there is also the opportunity to serve as a copy or developmental editor over time.

Pay

We’re open to hourly or a set minimum per month. Starting pay is $50 / hour, and we estimate it to be about 8 hours of work a week. We’re also happy to negotiate based on experience and skillset.
